Bangles slip over the hand, so the size depends on the widest part of your hand, not your wrist.

How to measure

  1. Bring your thumb and little finger together, as if putting on a bangle.
  2. Measure around the widest part of your hand (across the knuckles) with a soft tape.
  3. Match the measurement to the chart below. If you own a bangle that fits well, you can measure its inside diameter instead.

International bangle size chart

International size Indian size Inside diameter Inside circumference Hand circumference
XS 2.2 54.0 mm (2.125 in) 170 mm (6.7 in) up to 17 cm (6.7 in)
S 2.4 57.2 mm (2.25 in) 180 mm (7.1 in) up to 18 cm (7.1 in)
M 2.6 60.3 mm (2.375 in) 189 mm (7.5 in) up to 19 cm (7.5 in)
L 2.8 63.5 mm (2.5 in) 200 mm (7.9 in) up to 20 cm (7.9 in)
XL 2.10 66.7 mm (2.625 in) 210 mm (8.3 in) up to 21 cm (8.3 in)

Indian bangle sizes (2.2, 2.4 and so on) are based on the inside diameter in inches. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger one.
